BACKGROUND: After growing up a hefty kid, I managed to lose weight in high school but shrunk to an unhealthy weight of 160 by age 21. I was frail without muscles and never worked out except for the occasional run around the block. Over the last 2.5 years, I made fitness a huge part of my life and packed on over 20 pounds of lean muscles and began teaching others to do the same.
What is your current exercise routine? Sonki Fitness Boot Camp three times a week, weightlifting 4 – 5 times a week, and running 2 – 4 times a week.
What is your motivation to stay in shape? I want to look and feel my best!
What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape? I absolutely love food.
What is your key to success? Self-discipline
What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life? Sonki Fitness has been a breath of fresh air in my fitness journey. Prior to training with Sonki, I strictly lifted for aesthetics but all other areas of my health physically were lacking. On top of that, Sonki introduced me to a completely new way of training which incorporates full body training and cardio all in the same workout! Mentally, Sonki has pushed me to become stronger, leaner, and faster, and to “Go One More rep.” I feel much more accomplished by 7:30 am after the Sonki Fitness morning session, as it’s the perfect way to start the day. I am so grateful I get the opportunity to train with Sonki!
What advice would you give to others about fitness? Ensure that you fuel properly with protein and carbohydrates!
Any other comments? I love Sonki Fitness and look forward to growing with it in the future.
