HOBBIES:  Guitar, music, cooking, food adventuring, and ocean swimming.

BACKGROUND:  I was born and raised in Los Angeles and spent my first five years in Santa Monica. I first heard about Sonki Fitness through the manager of my mom’s store at the time, Lindsay (previously a Sonki Fitness trainer). My sister and I decided to give Sonki Fitness a try to get in shape for her wedding back in 2013, and I have been going every MWF at 6:30 AM ever since (with a few breaks here and there). Sonki Fitness has kept me feeling young, in shape, and disciplined about my health. All of my friends and family think I am insane for doing it, but I can’t express how much I appreciate getting outside and working out in a beautiful place three times a week.

What is your current exercise routine?  Sonki Fitness at 6:30 AM every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, one yoga class at some point, and a hike and/or swim on the weekend.

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  To look like Sonki with my shirt off!

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  My obsession with carb-heavy foods.

What is your key to success?  An effective (i.e. annoying) alarm clock in the morning.

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  Do your best to not get discouraged or frustrated early in the process. No one is amazing at anything the first handful of times you try out something difficult or new.
