BACKGROUND: I started out as a marketing intern for Sonki Fitness while at LMU, and this kick-started my interest in health, fitness, and nutrition. While living in LA, I was a devoted Sonki Fitness Warrior and even did Sonki Fitness Vacation to Maui with my mom and sister. I currently live in the Bay Area, and although I work in tech, I enjoy spending my free time learning about health & nutrition. I believe that food is medicine and try to focus on a plant-based lifestyle.
What is your current exercise routine? Unfortunately, I don’t live in LA anymore, so I’m no longer able to do Sonki Fitness. So currently, I like mixing it up with different types like barre, weight/resistance training, running, pilates reformer, and yoga.
What is your motivation to stay in shape? Right now, it’s my upcoming wedding. 😉 Otherwise, my motivation is to be able to enjoy food & drinks by balancing it out with exercise!
What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape? Sticking to a workout routine when life gets extra busy or when I need to travel for work.
What is your key to success? I schedule my workouts in my calendar ahead of time to hold myself accountable and aim to hit at least 16 times a month. I loathe paying for workout cancellation fees, so that’s another motivating factor. 😉
What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life? Sonki Fitness has taught me to even push myself harder during my workout. It’s easy to give up, but I’ve learned to remind myself that pain is temporary, and it’s what ultimately delivers results.
What advice would you give to others about fitness? Do something you enjoy! There are so many workout options these days (even in quarantine!). Use this time to try something new, and maybe you’ll find a new fav. 🙂
Any other comments? I miss Sonki fitness classes with that incredible view!
